A Westsiders Wet Dream: Saints & Sinners
Saints and Sinners may not be the newest of the new, but since it's opening a year ago has certainly become a staple watering hole for Westside hipsters and socialites alike.Set amidst shabby shopping centers, Saints & Sinners' glowing red and black sign beckons the thirsty and welcomes the sneaker-clad like a beacon in the night!
While you may end up comparing tats with the guy in line next to you, the wait is usually never long and the parking isn't usually an issue. While everybody may not know your name (at first), S&S keep their customers coming back for more with interesting twists such as fire breathing bartenders and Ipod Night, where customers can bring in their Ipod's and play up to 5 songs unless they get gonged or booed.
From the mirrored walls and black leather adorned ceilings to the toasty fire-pits and rock clad walls, Saints and Sinners breathes an energy from the bygone era of the early 70s. It isn't hard to imagine Chrissy and Jack from Three's Company sipping drinks while Janet gets accosted by Larry with flaming shots of Hell Fire.
I recently headed back out to S&S for a Monday night drink/bitch session and wasn't surprised to see the place fill up around 10. We sat at the shimmering gold bar top watching Chip the mustached bartender toss bottles around and mix tasty signature drinks, like the sweet "yumtini" Angel Dust and the "I can't believe I'm drunk after only one" Holywater. Around 11, the DJ suddenly switched out their saucy mix of indie and lounge with some Grade-A classic rock and Monday started to seem a whole lot like Saturday.

Was that our drink/bitch session you're describing? That was a lot of fun but not as much fun as the ride home.
