ELEVATE LOUNGE: The Highest Level of Downtown Chic
A few Friday nights and vodka martinis ago, I headed out for the opening of the ELEVATE Lounge.
Apply named, Elevate is located on the 21st floor of 811 Wilshire Blvd, and has AMAZING views of downtown LA!
It's a good thing Elevate has 2 bars, because the place was PACKED! The crowd, mostly trendy mid 20-somethings and chic early 30-someones, bathed in moonlight while draped over plush chaise lounges. It reminded me of a futuristic wonder-lounge but without a hint of cheesy kitsch.
Between all of the moonlight bathing and dance floor bumblings, my crew and I were tickled to get pickled by some amazing drinks. If you're feeling glam enough to try something besides the ole' reliables (make mine a Cosmo on the rocks), try the amazing Chambourd and strawberry drenched Takami Sunset or the zingy Lychee Mojito. Although they weren't yet serving food, they have some really tasty sounding nibbles listed under Lounge Menu on their website. www.elevatelounge.com
Before the night ended the crew and I moved around the dance floor to an awesome mix of hip hop and acid-lounge.
All in all, Elevate was (and I don't use this word lightly) sexy, chic and fun! We can't wait to try out the hot new sushi bar next door on our next excursion downtown! To be continued...
