Myspace Addicts Annonymous
First thing's first: I usually hate improv.
Actually, I hate comedy shows altogether.
I find them...disappointing.
Alas...the Myspace show...something fresh and witty that gives you a chance to laugh at your unwitting friends!
While logging onto your Myspace account ten times a day has lost its novelty and making funny/suggestive "inside" comments on your new boyfriends pages-so-that-that-bitch-they-banged-over-the-summer-but still-consider-a-friend-will-get-really-jealous-and-know-that-you're-the-boss-now has started to loose its appeal, its still really funny to laugh with at the shiz some people put on their pages.
And maybe, just maybe, you too can be laughed at with at the Upright Citizens Brigade Myspace Show!
Every Wednesday at 9:30pm, and for only $5, join the improv talent that is the fiercely monotoned Owen Burke, Chad Carter and Human Giants Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel as they pick audience volunteers and display their profiles
on a big screen for all to see. After a short interview with the volunteer, the guys work their magic, weaving elements from that lucky volunteers profile into their hilarious and mostly inappropriate improv sketches.
UCB THEATRE
5919 Franklin Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90028
(323) 908-8702
GOOD TO KNOW:
PARKING: Valet it for $4
BOOZE: You can actually BYOB it into the show and/or head next door to BIRDS afterwards for half priced drinks 11pm-midnight.
LINE: The line starts around 9 or 9:15 and works its way down the street closer to show-time. You can reserve tickets online although it's somehow still on a first-come-first-serve basis...and doesn't save you the wait in line.
