A Bit of Class off the 405
Alas, dear reader! Now you too can join myriads of professionals by day/hip art and music lovers by night at the Getty for live music, drinks and fun...for the return of FRIDAY'S OFF THE 405 is at hand!
Contrary to it's name, Friday's off the 405 is not some chain restaurant off of L.A's most ferocious freeway.
Rather, FRIDAY'S OFF THE 405 is an outdoor music event held once a month at the Getty Museum. This event starts this Friday at 6pm and lasts throughout the summer.

Performances are usually by avant-garde Indie-esque bands such as Something in Spanish and King Britt.
We saw Jamie Lidell perform a summer or so ago. While our Patty Duke side loved the concert, our Cathy Lane* side enjoyed the art exhibits and wandering in the moonlit gardens. Both sides equally loved the slightly scary tram ride up from the parking structure.Good times for all!

Word to the Wise:
Parking is a HUGE bitch. Unless you can get there pretty early, cab it or expect to sit in the parking line for at least 20 minutes.
Bring cash. It's all the bar kiosk will take!
*Cathy Lane was the "good" Patty Duke twin.
