Rent Control to Get the Boot?
Much to the delighted horror of our co-workers, we gave in to the panicky urge to crank up Twisted Sister's classic hit We're Not Gonna Take It when we heard about THIS.
What THIS is, is an attempt to do away with Rent Control in the state of California!
We don't know about you, dear reader, but this simple blogger can not afford to live in such luxuriously old art deco digs without rent control! This will effect hundreds of thousands of low income seniors, poor students, struggling artists/actors/bloggers and more!
So when June 3rd rolls around, march your asses to whatever magical voting spot is close to you and say YES to apartments that have caps on how much your landlord increases your rent per year and NO to apartments where landlords can raise your rent as much as they want per year!
We're sure Twisted Sister wouldn't take it and neither should you!
