Santa Monica Sells Away their Good Times
We just learned that the Santa Monica Ferris Wheel SOLD in an ebay auction for a mere $132,400.
People say you can't put a price tag on memories, but surely the memories of first gropes and first slaps on that ferris wheel are worth more then that! The ferris wheel was a fixture on the pier since 1996. We're no mathematicians, but that's alot of gropes and slaps, people.
Much like the gents that jog it's gentle shores, Santa Monica, no doubt in a fit of mid-life crisis, sold it's ferris wheel to trade up for a younger model.
You can get your grope (or slap) on until Thursday, when the wheel will be shamed and disassembled and shipped off to the sinister land of Oklahoma.
