Get Horn-y on Cinco De Drunko!
In the spirit of the upcoming Cinco de Mayo celebration, we'd like suggest an evening of traditional mexican food, mariachi and margaritas!
Don't have the time to travel or patience to be kidnapped by Mexican cops?
That's cool (and safe)-we have a few mariachi good times restaurants right here in LA!
First up is La Fonda, who re-opened in their new location in February! Normally they're only open Wednesday-Sunday with three shows at 7, 9 and 11pm with happy hour from 4-7, but this Cinco de Mayo they'll be open for dinner with one big show at 8pm!

While we are big fans of their mouthwatering menu and very strong margarita's, we do suggest you make reservations and be prepared to shout at your guests during the shows.
Editors Note: Have you ever heard a live mariachi band playing 10 feet away from you? We did, and our ears are still ringing with delight!

A litte more west-side is Casa Sanchez, who feature two, hour long mariachi shows Wednesday-Sunday as follows:
Thursday: 7:30pm-8:30pm & 9:30pm-10:30pm
Friday: 7:30pm-8:30pm & 9:30pm-10:30 & 11:15pm-12:15am
Saturday: 7pm-8pm & 9pm-10pm & 11:15pm-12:15am
Sunday: 5:00pm-6pm & 7:15pm-8:15pm & 9:15pm-10:15pm

They have an indoor and outdoor seating area, make mean cocktails (one being a $20 margarita served up with a shot of 1942 Don Julio) and feature an extensive menu of traditional mexican seafood and tortilla dishes. We also hear they give you free chips and salsa with guacamole. This is a big deal because most places will charge you for the green stuff.
